First of all I took a Cpap machine that I already owned in to our local Apria Healthcare in Lafayette, Indiana to be repaired. They lost my machine, after 6 months of trying to find out where it was, they found it, but refused to fix it.
So I was forced to get a new machine after meeting my insurance deductible. I was told there would be a charge of $11 per month for 10 months, a total of $110.00. They insisted on a credit card to charge it to monthly. I asked several times if this was the total charge, they said yes.
Then after the first of the year, they started charging an additional $44 per month, which I paid by check. Which I made on top of the $11 per month on the credit card that was authorized. Then they starting charging the $44 on my credit card, which they were NOT authorized to do. After many phone calls to try to find out what was going on and talking to the call center in the Philippines, I was told by the Very RUDE "woman" at the customer service counter in Lafayette I should have known that my deductible would start over.
This was never mentioned. I was never told this was the case. I was told 10 months of $11. In March I sent them a check of $44.00, but they also charged my credit card they had on file $44.00, plus the $11 that was authorized.
The $44 was NEVER authorized! I offered to bring the machine back and tear up the contract but they told me I would still have to pay it.
I have cancelled my credit card to stop the unauthorized charges, now they are threatening a collection agency!I am one very pissed consumer!
