My wife & I were prescribed CPAP machines. Got them in 12/17 under our insurance plan, insurance paid for rental until 2/18 when it was converted to a purchase.

Apria submitted to the insurance company for coverage and payment. It took until 10/18 for Apria to get THEIR paperwork correct and we received an explanation of benefits from insurance. They sent out a bill in December, 2018 and another in January, 2019 with a pay by 2/12/19. After confirming what we owed, I paid the bill online on 1/30/19, was debited from my HSA account on 2/1/19.

They sent the bill to collection on 2/7/19. They also billed me for CPAP supplies I obtained and paid for at the local office. I would NEVER purchase anything from Apria!

I asked for an escalation and to speak to a manager to no avail. DO NOT USE APRIA IF AT ALL POSSIBLE!
