Apria - AVOID
1. Messed-up billing
2. A home refill for oxygen was forced on me. Apparently this is to save costs so a delivery driver doesn't have to come by on a regular basis. The refill unit doesn't work. It hasn't worked in over a year. Apria won't take it away. Now I'm told I need a physician's order to take the home fill unit and must sign a waver. A physician didn't order the home fill unit in the first place, Apria made the unilateral decision to drop this thing off!
3. Because the home fill unit doesn't work I've had regular canisters at the house. Someone came by and took the filled canisters but left the empty.
4. Apria called and scheduled an appointment on Wednesday. Nobody showed.
5. Friday of the following week my phone rang and an Apria agent stated she was 15 minutes away and would be by the house. She arrived smelling like cigarette smoke. She refused to take the home fill unit but said she would put in a work order. She didn't.
6. Another Apria representative came by the house, unannounced, and was to "service" the compressor. I have two compressors. This person turned on the spastic unit, it didn't scream, and pronounced that it was just fine.
7. Although my mailing address changed 19 months ago they continue to send mail to the wrong location.
After 7 years with these goofs I am exasperated and frustrated! It's like they don't get that breathing is important. They certainly don't care about customers, yet if/when they kill us they will be out of business. Apria is disorganized and confused and essentially worthless! UGH

Very true! They FORCED my mother, who lives on a very limited income, to RENT a concentrator for $13.71/mo, even though we told them she already OWNED one.
They refused to deliver oxygen tanks unless she rented an unnecessary concentrator. Then, they continued charging her for "unreturned equipment" even though Aerocare had already sent them proof that it had been returned.
I took this issue up with Medicare and they are now involved. We canceled service with them after four months and are now with a very good service, one that only charges for the oxygen tanks and provides excellent service!
