Sent and billed more than ordered. won't take me off their calling list | Apria review

I ordered 1 ea., mask, tube, tank, filter and hose for my cpap. they sent me 5 masks instead of 1 and billed my account for 5. Their cust. service was not understanding. I found a new company to do business with, but their auto caller is still calling me every couple of days, early in a.m., and late at night, 7 days a week. Twice I have called them and asked not to be called anymore. It continues to happen. I need to enter one hundred words for this complaint to be recognized so this sentence means nothing

My husband has been with Apria health care aprix.18 years. He was diagnosed with cardomyopathy and emhysemia at that time. He was sick enough to be referred for heart/lung transplant. After listening to all pros and cons we decided against. Apria has been our oxygen/concentrator supplier all these years and we have been pleased with our service until recently. The phone order system seems inadequate to meet the needs of the consumer. Seems like central phone service that transfers you several times to no avail. Each time you must repeat name DOB and address. To try and make this a little shorter comment is difficult due to severity of expirience we have had a very unacceptable comments and service with trying to get oxygen delivery while visiting in Michigan. Now realize we have never had a problem before when visiting anywhere. In fact the very reason we chose Apria was because they were nation wide! Apria needs to understand that breathing is a basic need and when one needs oxygen supplies it is literally a matter of life and death. We have been chased around phone to phone told that they only deliver to the area code we were in on certain dates which happened to be 3 weeks more !! Not an option for us. We were then told we would have to load empties and bring to nearest office/location to have them replaced with full tanks. This was a horrible expiring as my husband was on severe distress and I don't drive.! Just rediculous and unacceptable practice. The central phone system does not work. If you want your clients to live you had better reevaluate your practice. I happen to be an R.N. and so is my daughter. My daughter's hospital hates dealing with apria. I appeal to you to reconsider and go back to your old practices and taking care of your clients. Thank you for consideration please help. Corporate headquarters needs this info. Please pass this on.

Waited for over 2weeks to get anyone to assist me in getting a CPAP machine for my husband had to rent one from a pharmacy at $75 dollars a week out of my own pocket now they are telling me I have to pay a monthly rental when my ins co authorized one for purchase I am going to have my ins co investigate this as fraud making the consumer pay

Why would you need a pulse oximeter for pneumonia? Geez, relax a bit or your brat's going to grow up as maniacal as you. If little precious is that sick to need monitoring, maybe ask the physician why he was discharged.

Apria - Nonexistent Customer Service Review from Novato, California

Apria is the worst company I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with! I've had nothing but problems from day one. Their customer service is non existent. When you call the company either the phone system is down or you're on hold for 35-60 minute before getting someone that is unhelpful. Yesterday I spent 3 hours on one call with Medicare and Apria on the same line with, no resolution! Medicare was appalled by Apria! Medicare advised me that I could change suppliers! I made a complaint with Medicare and also will be making a formal complaint with the government agency that handles healthcare complaints. The agency is called Livanta and the number is (877)588-1123. Please, if you have problems with Apria report them! It's the only way to make Apria accountable and change the way they do business!

Anyone who has given this co. your credit card # fax them NOW that you do not authorize any charges put on your card until YOU give them permission!! I was charged over $1400.00 because the ins. co. denied the claim pending medical reports. They billed me the next day instead of waiting for the ins. payment. After THREE hours on the phone and finally a conference call between the ins. and apria and me, they credited my card! What a nightmare. I was leary about giving them my card number but because i needed supplies and they said this was a new policy I went ahead and gave them my number. NEVER AGAIN!

Could not deliver the equipment at the right time(3 attempts while I was at work) After 2 days they couldn,t pick the equipment up at the specified time so I wasted 2 evenings waiting around for them to arrive and take equipment, They never showed up so I had to waste more time driving to there office in Golden Colorado to drop their *** equipment off. The receptionist was rude and couldn,t have cared less. Their customer service sucks After all this *** they still billed me for $700 for their equipment. I should be getting reimbursed for the time I wasted dealing with these idiots. The funniest thing is that they sent me a customer satisfaction survey a week later. I filled it out and sent it back to them but I don,t expect to hear from them
