SOUNDS LIKE MY SITUATION.FOR 2 YRS DR. CHECKS ME AND FAX THE INFO IN.NO SUPPLIES.AM IN THE PROCESS OF WAITING FOR SUPPLIES AFTER CALLING AGAIN !HAVE BEEN WITH APRIA FOR MANY YEARS,BUT IN LAST 3 YRS.NOT GOOD.MEDICARE HAS TOLD ME THAT I SHOULD BE CLEAR .TALKED TO A YOUNG MAN WHO SAID I SHOULD BE GETTING SUPPLIES.GAVE ME ACCOUNT NUMBER.NO RESULTS.SO MANY PERSONEL INVOLVED.NO ANSWERS

I am. Stroke victim at home now for four days AND STILL HAVENT RECEIVED MY EQUIPMENT!!! A friend ended up giving them a credit card number, which is wrong for asking!!!!!! They know my insurance is to cover most of the cost first. So they have their $$$$$. Fortunately another friend had done equipment. I can not get around without a quad Cane or wheelchair. They didn't care.

Apria review in Northport, New York: They don't care

I have been wroth Apria for more than ten years and the service they provide has been deteriorating. It is difficult to order necessary supplies for my CPAP therapy when it should be automatic. Lately I have been dealing with a problem with the humidifier on my ResMed CPAP. It hasn't worked for the past six months. I have brought the machine to my local Apria office 4 times and they want me to bring it in again. They have replaced components but it consistently fails to heat the water in vapor overnight. I have resolved to live without the humidifier. There has got to be and easier way!

I ORDERED A HUMIDIFIER BOTTLE FOR MY OXYGEN CONCENTRATOR. I ORDERED IT ON FEBRUARY EIGHTEENTH AND WAS TOLD I WOULD RECEIVE IT ON MONDAY FEBRUARY TWENTYSECOND. TODAY IS THE FEBRUARY TWENTYFIFTH AND I HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE BOTTLE YET. I CALLED AND AFTER A LONG WAIT AN AUTOMATIC SYSTEM CAME ON AND TOLD ME TO LEAVE MY NAME AND NUMBER AND A BRIEF MESSAGE WHICH I DID. I HAVEN'T RECEIVED ANY PHONE CALL YET. DO YOU CALL THIS SERVICE??? Apria continuously fails to send the supplementary insurance all the information requested for them to properly pay the bill after Medicare pays its share. The supplementary insurance company, upon receipt of the bill, requests Apria to send additional information (which is usually the line item information from Medicare - that which the supplementary insurance company does not receive from Medicare). All Apria does is resubmit their bill to the supplementary insurance company without the additional information and without calling the supplementary insurance company to find out exactly what they want. After three tries, they then bill the customer; if they have the customer's credit card, they automatically charge it; after three attempts to get the customer to pay the bill even though the customer does not have any responsibility yet (per supplementary insurance company) to pay that bill, Apria refers the bill to a collection agency. Apria refuses to do its job correctly and provide the required information to the supplementary insurance company. I have billed Apria for my services in getting their bill paid and they have yet to pay me. Perhaps I should refer this bill to a collection agency (it is now up to $2400.00 for all the times I've had to get involved in getting Apria to provide my supplementary insurance company all the required information).

I have been using Apria for my cpap supplier for several years now. I have had numerous problems. For instance, I tried using their automated supply ordering system twice. I got charged for the supplies, but a month later nothing had arrived. I called the company and told them of the problem and they assured me I would get my supplies within a couple of days. I didn't and had to call again and throw a fit before I finally got the supplies that I had ordered two months previously. Unfortunately, one of those times, I got the wrong size supplies. It is even more frustrating that when you do call, it takes almost an hour to deal with the problem because you get continuously shunted from one department to another, spending the majority of the time on hold waiting to be directed to someone else. It is the most unorganized and inefficient company I have dealt with. Just last week, I called to order supplies. Normally they bill me so I wasn't expecting them to want payment that day. When I realized this, I told them that I would call back on payday to order. However, they assured me they could post date the charge for then. Two hours later I get a call that the charge wouldn't go through. I told them again that I would order on the third. Yesterday, I received the supplies, so I checked the bank and, sure enough, there was the charge along with an insufficient funds charge. This was the final straw. I will be finding another company. This is not a one time problem. My parents also use Apria for several things and get just as shady of services. For instance, they continue to get supplies for several months after they have been told to stop sending them, and charged of course. They get large bills occasionally for stuff they were told would not have any copay. Repair problems, even for oxygen, take forever to get scheduled, and even longer to get completed. It is very sad that a company can become so large that they can't handle their own business anymore and it is even more tragic that this company is allowed to continue to jeopardize the health and finances of our elderly and disabled folks with such shoddy care.
