Scheduled Appt No Show | Apria review from Waynesboro, Virginia

My sister is on oxygen through Apria and also has a portable oxygen machine. Her battery has gone bad and she spoke to someone and they were supposed to send someone out earlier in the week. No one showed and no phone call. Then they scheduled for someone to come out on 9/30 and even her Pulmonologist called and spoke to someone at Apria and again no one showed up and not one phone call. I called and spoke to a customer service rep (who is located off shore, I am assuming in the Phillipines or somewhere) and she stated no notes on account. She said she emailed two people one of which is a Mark Johnson (logistics) to let them know of the situation. I said that my sister needed someone out today. These people are playing with peoples lives and health. This is terrible, someone could DIE because they have no oxygen....

They used to be great until they went national. I have had nothing but problems with them. I could not get out of the house for almost two weeks because they took my portables and refill machine and I can't get those tanks up and down steps and to my car. Had no food or drink because I live alone and have no one...When I said I had no one to get food or help she said they were short on help also and could not get to me yet. that I could come in to their place...but I couldn't because I can't get the oxygen tank down the steps and into my car.....I went to the Dr w/o oxygen and used my rescue inhaler and he told me he did not order those , that Apria took it onto themselves. He redid the order..then on 9/26/ after going to the dr. on the 8th they deliver the portable unit...Guess what? It lasts less than 2 hours. The car charger does not fit into the cigarette lighter. I had 11 minutes left to get home and unload the car.. How are you supposed to drive to Florida with that unit? What if you run out of gas or something and you are stuck out in the wild?? Obama said he wanted to kill off 1/3 of the population? That means us oldies and sickies..

Apria - Poor performance

I attempted to resolve an issue in which the package sent to me was lacking some of the products ordered. I spoke to a person that was nice but unusually difficult to hear due to what I suspect to be an overseas connection. They took my information and transferred me to another operator to correct an order for additional supplies only to be disconnected. To get to this point in the process was pretty long and painful. There is no simple calling the person back. If I had any control over this matter and the use of this method of doing business, I would have had to fire them. They are not doing a good job at all and need to lose some more money before they wake up and realize they suck *** to no end! If you have a choice, try someone else before settling with these folks because they are a sad bunch of people doing a half *** job.

Called for appt for cpap mask fitting and spent 20min on phone and person was really hard to understand. Then you have to wait several hours for a person in the Phillipines to call you back. Could hardly understand a word she was saying. Substandard service.

Apria the worst provider

This firm has to be the worst in providing customer service. They are non responsive, not helpful when you do speak with them and really don't care. My physician placed an order for a CPAP machine and Apria went silent. Had to contact them and I was informed that they don't acknowledge orders for 3-9 business days. On the other side they will call you daily to get you to order supplies and when you try to cancel the automatic calling they ignore the request. You can't leave a complaint for the company as there isn't any way to either leave a verbal complaint or a written one.

John E. Fisher, Jr. I had not been to my sleep Dr. in over 3 years. That being said, I made a FACE to FACE appointment with Dr. Irene Scaltsas on September 1st, 2016. I have talked previously about 15 times with your Apria Staff in the Phillipines, to get these supplies. I gave this information to your people 15 times. Do they have a computer???? Finally today, the said I needed to pay $43.00 so I paid them over the phone. I asked to speak the supervisor and was told that the supervisor was not available. This is not what I consider an efficient operation. Thank John E. Fisher, Jr. in Keatchie, La.

I have been plagued with the ineptitude of this company for far too long now. The amount in dispute is minuscule but more than I can just pull out of my pockets. Now it has become a matter of principal. When I first had to go on oxygen therapy in early 2013, the billing was confusing because I was unemployed and had a pending application with Medicaid. Once the Medicaid was approved, the billing department was notified of the correct information. Since then it has been a comedy of errors on Apria's part. Someone has passed the buck on this so many times that they finally got tired and sold my account to a bill collection agency. Having dealt with the collector more times than I cared to, I had my doctor's office intervene for me. They were told that I needed to tell the collector's office that I was disputing the bill and that would in turn kick the bill back to Apria to rebill Medicaid/Medicare. Now that I have done all of that, they are now saying that I cannot have service through them on a short trip that a kind relative has gifted me with to see my elderly mother out of state without paying the full amount that is still up for grabs. I even offered to try to make payments on the amount, but they want the amount paid in full before the trip. The trip is in less than 2 weeks and I have no way of raising those funds before the trip. I feel that if the representative had told me this when I spoke to her last month, I would have maybe had the opportunity to borrow the amount but now its not possible.

Worst service i have ever experienced. | Apria review from Colorado Springs, Colorado

I have used Apria for several years for the need of oxygen to prevent cluster migraine headaches. My needs are intermittent however heavily dependent to function on a day to day basis while suffering from these headache cycles. After a recent attack I reached out to them again, abiding by all of the requirements ( Doctors referral, liter flows, examination notes, etc. ) I had even stopped into the local branch ( as anyone dealing with these folks know that you cannot talk to a live person locally) and was very perplexed as to the rude treatment I was given by the two receptionist at the Colorado Springs office. I understand that in this day and age all of the T's have to be crossed and the I's have to be dotted however the sheer rudeness and lack of willingness to help with the process was quite frankly appalling. I would much rather purchase oxygen out of pocket from a local welding shop (no I'm really not going to do this) than deal with these folks ever again. Next issue was they told me that THEY don't offer portable systems to migraine users which tells me that they must also employ doctors on their staff to override your primary care Physicians orders. A large non portable system does no one any good unless you plan to stay home for the 2-12 week duration 24/7. For those not familiar with these particular types of headaches they are called the "Suicide" migraine due to the intensity and frequency one endures while going through they cycle. I think I will dibbs them the "Homicide migraine" because dealing with Apria makes one feel exactly this way. In short....... they will always be the last option for me.
